Distance-based fares from 20 BDT to 100 BDT. MRT Pass gives a 10% discount on every journey.

The MRT Pass is a contactless NFC smart card — tap in, tap out, and the correct distance-based fare is deducted automatically with a built-in 10% discount.
- Costs 500 BDT — 300 BDT travel credit + 200 BDT card
- Valid 10 years · holds up to 10,000 BDT
Recharge at any station's Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) or customer service counter — cash or mobile banking (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay).

- Single Journey Ticket (SJT) for occasional riders
About MRT Line 6
Bangladesh's first metro rail, operated by DMTCL. Phase 1 (Uttara North to Agargaon) opened 29 December 2022; the full route to Motijheel opened 5 November 2023.
Kamalapur extension
A 1.16 km extension from Motijheel south to Kamalapur Railway Station is under construction (target opening 1 January 2027).
